In addition to the thousands already invested, Faith 21 Films is committing tens of thousands more into this production over the next two years, and we anticipate that it will become our flagship production. I have no acting, Vlogging, performing or modeling experience. Can I still audition to be in Tattered Shoes?
Absolutely. We encourage and welcome all to apply. Our production house is proud to hire writers and cast performers that are often passed up by other production companies for bigger, more established names. We are able to accomplish this by utilizing our unique, State of the Art business model that compensates Faith 21 Films staff with an attractive merchandising royalty & profit-sharing package. Therefore, we can take some risks with our casting decisions that other production companies simply cannot. If you can learn, follow directions and handle the rigors of travel, you can be successful as a Vlogger.
Are there any special requirements?
The job requirements are minimal, however provide their own unique challenges. Candidates must be:
- 18 or older
- Able to Camp similar to Chicago's homeless residents
- Able to follow directions for safety purposes
First and foremost, you must be able to camp during production, essentially living homeless. Faith 21 Films will provide top quality gear for you to use when filming. Otherwise, if you can follow directions you are a help make this production successful. We encourage and welcome all to apply. What kind of compensation is included?
The position comes with a Thirty day renewable contract. It includes a $250 signing bonus. When you are traveling, in addition to your Greyhound, Amtrak or Megabus ticket, It also includes a $50 per week cash travel stipend, paid daily. Plus, as further compensation, the position includes a standard merchandising royalties & Profit Sharing Agreement contract. We provide the very best terms in the industry with regards to PSA contracts, bar none. Vloggers receive a 10% portion of all net revenues generated from the work they help produce. Essentially, we provide the production, post-production and marketing budgets, you provide the talent. In limited cases, we offer secure long term contracts to individuals who we believe demonstrate extraordinary talent.
Where will the filming locations be?
Again, we need to keep some locations under wraps as to not divulge key plot points. We can, however, inform you of a few details such as the cities we will be visiting. We will be visiting some popular tourists spots like the St. Louis Arch, Navy Pier, Rock n' Roll HOF, the Mall of America, Ect.... When not filming in Chicago, our crew will be on the road for between 3 and 18 days per month. This production is slated for shooting in the following locations:

What is the Vlog about?
We must be kind of secretive at this point in pre-production as far as divulging the full details, however we can tell you a few general points:
The production is a humorous travel Vlog-style reality series based on the experiences of our Star Vloggers as they camp, hike and explore various cities and historical sites around the Midwest. Subject matter will include a mix of mainstream & lesser known facts and tourists sites, Conspiracy Theories, Small Businesses that feature unusual products or motifs, unique social organizations or non-profits and many other obscure topics of interest. Vlog series will incorporate playful themes with light humor and will be family friendly. We will be able to provide you with the full details upon your final interview, once we have you sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
What is the casting process?
First, we have potential candidates fill out an application, found below. Based on those answers, we may offer potential candidates a brief telephone interview. Finally, our staff will invite candidates to a formal interview and read for a part.
It sounds like a great opportunity, but no job is perfect. What's the catch?
The catch is you will have to work hard to succeed. Yes, traveling around the Midwest is exciting and creating a Vlogg is extremely fun. However, anything worth doing is not always easy. It will take a significant amount of time to produce and build a body of work, promote it and turn it into profit. It will not happen over night.
The facts are there are millions of Vloggers in the world. Do not think for one second it won't take hard work to separate yourself from the rest. It will require combining strict discipline with immense drive and dedication. It means pushing ourselves longer, harder and farther than our competition. However, If you are able to set yourself apart from the crowd, the end result can be very rewarding. If you are the right person that is not scared of tough situations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What if I am offered an acting role or writing position, and decide that it is not for me. Am I under any financial obligation if I quit?
No, none at all. We have the substantially large task of making the proper decisions about who we cast, at our expense not yours. We want you to be happy as a team member with our company. We also understand that a career in the Performing & Production Arts is not for everyone. You may walk away at anytime, you simply forfeit any claim to future compensation you may have. We are a small, laid back but highly productive staff of three employees. Our company culture is one of mutual respect, close comradery and a strong focus on success. Still, Faith 21 Films is a truly exciting company to work with. We are Fun loving, 420 friendly and adventurous!
I did not have very good grades in School. Is there a minimum G.P.A. required for the position?
No. We have seen with our own eyes that some individuals do not flourish while in the public school atmosphere, but do flourish when outside of the system. In many cases grades can reflect stability of home life or measure improperly motivated students, not intellectual capacity. We will of course take good grades into consideration, however you will not in any way be penalized for your G.P.A.
I have had disciplinary issues or I have said some things or have videos about me online that stigmatize me. Will that prevent me from qualification?
No, not at all. You are a human. Humans make mistakes. We believe in second chances and in most cases, third or fourth ones too. It's O.K. to have said or done things that you regret, that have been misconstrued or are unpopular. We're really not concerned about the silly Bush or Obama comment you made, the embarrassing whatever video or any other speech or action deemed offensive by some. Just be honest and tell us.
Disclosure is key. We will address any concerns we may have with you and evaluate your situation fairly, on an individual basis. To error is a human quality, to forgive and accept does not seem to be.
I have very strong political, religious, social or unconventional science beliefs. Is that an issue?
No, absolutely not! We pride ourselves on our diversity. TRUE diversity, not the B.S. Identity Politics version that is so popular today. In the evolution of becoming the company Faith 21 Films is today, we have worked with staff members from all over the world and across the political spectrum. Individuals from India, The Philippines, Canada and Nigeria just to name a few places. If you work with us for a while, you can observe the many differing walks of life we surround ourselves with. We have Black staff, White staff, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Hindi, Catholics, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, alt-left, alt-right, Moderate, Pro-Trump, Anti-Trump, Science perfectionists, Pseudoscientists...You name it, we very well may have it.
