I am very interested in participating with this documentary. How will filming work?
Thank you much for your interest! We make filming as unobtrusive as possible. First, we utilize a one or two person crew with minimal necessary equipment as to not draw attention to our production. Second, our crew tries to observe, not interact with our participants except when interviewing or presenting questions. Filming A documentary film is not always easy, but we have made it as smooth as you will find!

What kind of compensation is included?
We pay our full time participants of this film up to $75 per week that they are involved with the production. The position comes with a standard Profit Sharing Agreement contract. We provide the very best terms in the industry with regards to PSA contracts, bar none. Contributors receive a portion of all net revenues generated from the work they help produce, 1%-3% dependent on specific amount of participation contributed. In addition, we include a $25-$100 signing bonus depending upon length of involvement. Participants who we film camping as part of their travel regimen may feel free to use our crew's camping gear, as well.
How long does filming last?
That depends upon how much you wish to be involved in the movie. We have shooting schedules that last from three days to as long as four weeks.
What is the casting process?
First, we have potential candidates fill out an application, found below. Based on those answers, our staff will invite candidates to a formal interview.
It sounds like a great opportunity, but no job is perfect. What's the catch?
The catch is you will have to work hard to succeed. Yes, creating a documentary or reality style show is a fun, fantastic opportunity. However, anything worth doing is not always easy. It will take a significant amount of time to produce and build a body of work, promote it and turn it into profit. It will not happen over night.
The facts are there are tens of millions of Vloggers, Actors, Filmmakers and Writers in the world. Do not think for one second it won't take hard work to separate yourself from the rest. It will require combining strict discipline with immense drive and dedication. It means pushing ourselves longer, harder and farther than our competition. However, If you are able to set yourself apart from the crowd, the end result can be very rewarding. If you are the right person that is not scared of tough situations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
I have been offered a similar acting position with another production company who is offering upfront compensation, and am considering signing with them instead. Why should I sign with Faith 21 Films over that other production company?
We completely understand. Not all aspiring writers and performers are in a position to accept a Profit Sharing Agreement and royalties heavy deal. However, we strongly urge you to consider the following points. Our staff is absolutely driven to succeed. No other company will work as hard for you as our staff will. We are one of the fastest growing independent production houses in Chicago. Using effective networking, our staff rapidly builds industry relevant connections, fostering strong professional relationships. We grow a little bit every day, and so does the quality of our work. Our staff is giddy with excitement for what the future has in store for us, and we hope to share the experience with as many talented people as possible.
What if I am offered an acting role or writing position, and decide that it is not for me. Am I under any financial obligation if I quit?
No, none at all. We have the substantially large task of making the proper decisions about who we cast, at our expense not yours. We want you to be happy as a team member with our company. We also understand that this the Performing Arts are not for everyone. You may walk away at anytime, you simply forfeit any claim to future compensation you may have.
Do I have to submit a writing sample?
No. We understand that unpublished writers don't always have samples of their work. We also understand that flourishing writers can improve their writing quality so fast that last month's sample piece no longer reflects their best work. In addition to writing ability, we look for other qualities such as attitude and dedication to improvement. We feel that those qualities cannot be taught, but Writing Arts can be. Located with in our Employee Portal, we provide a full section of resources for our writers that they can utilize to reach their full writing potential including free online courses, spell check and grammar editor.
I did not have very good grades in School. Is there a minimum G.P.A. required for a writing position?
No. We have seen with our own eyes that some individuals do not flourish while in the public school atmosphere, but do flourish when outside of the system. In many cases grades can reflect stability of home life or measure improperly motivated students, not intellectual capacity. We will of course take good grades into consideration, however you will not in any way be penalized for your G.P.A.
I have had disciplinary issues or I have said some things or have videos about me online that stigmatize me. Will that prevent me from qualification?
No, not at all. You are a human. Humans make mistakes. We believe in second chances and in most cases, third or fourth ones too. It's O.K. to have said or done things that you regret, that have been misconstrued or are unpopular. We're really not concerned about the silly Bush or Obama comment you made, the embarrassing whatever video or any other speech or action deemed offensive by some. Just be honest and tell us.
Disclosure is key. We will address any concerns we may have with you and evaluate your situation on an individual basis. To error is a human quality, to forgive and accept does not seem to be.
I have very strong political, religious, social or unconventional science beliefs. Is that an issue?
No, absolutely not! We pride ourselves on our diversity. TRUE diversity, not the B.S. Identity Politics version that is so popular today. In the evolution of becoming the company Faith 21 Films is today, we have worked with staff members from all over the world and across the political spectrum. Individuals from India, The Philippines, Canada and Nigeria just to name a few places. If you work with us for a while, you can observe the many differing walks of life we surround ourselves with. We have Black staff, White staff, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Hindi, Catholics, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, alt-left, alt-right, Moderate, Pro-Trump, Anti-Trump, Science perfectionists, Pseudoscientists...You name it, we very well may have it. Each get equal treatment and each get to speak their mind as they see fit. No matter if you think the Earth is flat or you believe the Scientific Method is absolute, you are welcome here.
