We are pleased to present our biggest, most ambitious project to date: The Street Paper Chronicles. Faith 21 Films is proud to produce this thought provoking gem! The Street Paper Chronicles is a five part Docu-Series that explores the rise of The Monthly Zine, the World's first E-Street Paper. The Production will focus on The Monthly Zine's staff as they travel to parts of Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana building their publication's circulation. Armed with the goal of providing Homeless Citizens with the ability to earn  money with dignity in an honest way by means of offering magazine subscriptions in exchange for a nominal donation, the publication's staff will hit the streets in search of new individuals to assist. They will search high and low and in some cases will eat, sleep and live just like those they seek to help in their journey. Join us for this once in a lifetime production! We are one of the fastest growing independent production houses in Chicago.
I have no acting, modeling, Production or performing experience. Can I still apply?
Absolutely. We encourage and welcome all to apply. If you can learn, follow directions and handle the rigors of travel, you can be successful in this position.
Are there any special requirements?
The job requirements are minimal, however essential to the position. Candidates must be:
  • 18 or older
  • Able to be on your feet
  • Able to follow directions for safety purposes
What will I be doing?
Nothing like this has ever been filmed before. We will be documenting the rise and early stages of a publication that will help revolutionize how homeless individuals distribute Street Newspapers for decades to come. Forever, you will be able to say you were involved with this extraordinary project. Staff members of The Monthly Zine have created care packs for those in need. Inside of those care packs, homeless citizens will find printed subscription cards that they can use to make money while panhandling, instructions about how to get more subscription cards at no cost and a five dollar Starbucks gift card so they have a safe place to follow the instructions and receive more cards. Essentially, you will be traveling the greater Chicagoland metropolitan area with a Monthly Zine staff member searching for homeless citizens that you will pass out starter packs to, acting as the face of the Magazine. As homeless individuals rely heavily on buses and trains for shelter, you will be traveling via public transportation for a large portion of this production. Additionally, you will be visiting Libraries, Shelters, Churches and Downtown locations of areas with known homeless populations.
What kind of compensation is included?
The position includes a $100 signing bonus, payable upon completion of filming. Plus, Faith 21 Films covers all travel expenses. We also include two premium quality nutritious sack lunches from Mike-O's Famous Sack Lunches, which you place an order for 24 hours prior to shooting(See sample order from below). Additionally, we provide unlimited premium quality cold brew coffee. Essentially, Faith 21 Films contributes the production, post-production and marketing budgets plus fair compensation, and you provide your talent. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring models and actors to gain a tremendous amount of exposure. In limited cases, we offer long term contracts to individuals who we believe demonstrate extraordinary talent.
Where will the filming locations be?

  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Kenosha, Wisconsin
  • Aurora, Illinois
  • Elgin, Illinois
  • Gary, Indiana

  • Naperville, Illinois
  • St. Charles, Illinois

I have had disciplinary issues or I have said some things or have videos about me online that stigmatize me. Will that disqualify me from consideration?
No, not at all. You are a human. Humans make mistakes. We believe in second chances and in most cases, third or fourth ones too. It's O.K. to have said or done things that you regret, that have been misconstrued or are unpopular. We're really not concerned about the silly Bush, Trump or Obama tweet you made, the embarrassing whatever video or any other speech or action deemed offensive by some. Just be honest and tell us. Disclosure is key. We will address any concerns we may have with you and evaluate your situation fairly, on an individual basis. To error is a human quality, to forgive and accept does not seem to be.
The Monthly Zine is a fun, family friendly magazine designed specifically to help those in need. It is the first ever Electronic Street Newspaper. Every month, the magazine's staff creates content that is accessible to readers online via a subscription code. The Monthly Zine then provides high quality printed subscription cards to homeless individuals absolutely free of charge. In turn, those individuals utilize the subscription codes when they panhandle, selling the cards to passers by for a one dollar suggested donation. This helps provide participating homeless citizens with dignity and a sense of purpose, both vital components towards re-integration into society. Additionally, this service allows them to raise survival money in a safe, honest manner.
