We are pleased to present our biggest, most ambitious project to date: The Street Paper Chronicles. Faith 21 Films is proud to produce this thought provoking gem! The Street Paper Chronicles is a five part Docu-Series that explores the rise of The Monthly Zine, the World's first E-Street Paper. The Production will focus on The Monthly Zine's staff as they travel to parts of Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana building their publication's circulation. Armed with the goal of providing Homeless Citizens with the ability to earn  money with dignity in an honest way by means of offering magazine subscriptions in exchange for a nominal donation, the publication's staff will hit the streets in search of new individuals to assist. They will search high and low and in some cases will eat, sleep and live just like those they seek to help in their journey. Join us for this once in a lifetime production! We are one of the fastest growing independent production houses in Chicago.
I currently have stable housing, however I will be homeless very soon. Am I still eligible to participate?
Absolutely. We encourage and welcome all to apply.
Are there any special requirements?
Only two minor requirements apply. Candidates must be:
  • 18 or older
  • Able to honestly answer questions
I do not have transportation. Am I still eligable?
Certainly. In almost all cases, our staff can come to meet you. All interviews are conducted in Starbucks Coffee Shops.
I do not have an ID. Am I still eligable?
Yes. You do not need to provide any identification.
What will I be doing?
You will be providing answers to a brief questionnaire that our staff will give you. The questionnaire contains 12 questions about your experience within the city/suburbs of Chicago while homeless, your experiences both negative and positive on social, charitable and government services and how you feel you could be better assisted, among other topics. Your answers will be included in upcoming documentary. Our staff will be forwarding a copy of the production to city hall for comment.
What kind of compensation is included?
The interview includes a $5 Starbucks Gift card plus an additional $10 cash bonus.
I have had disciplinary issues or I have said some things or have videos about me online that stigmatize me. Will that disqualify me from consideration?
No, not at all. You are a human. Humans make mistakes. We believe in second chances and in most cases, third or fourth ones too. It's O.K. to have said or done things that you regret, that have been misconstrued or are unpopular. We're really not concerned about the silly Bush, Trump or Obama tweet you made, the embarrassing whatever video or any other speech or action deemed offensive by some. Just be honest and tell us. Disclosure is key. We will address any concerns we may have with you and evaluate your situation fairly, on an individual basis. To error is a human quality, to forgive and accept does not seem to be.
The Monthly Zine is a fun, family friendly magazine designed specifically to help those in need. It is the first ever Electronic Street Newspaper. Every month, the magazine's staff creates content that is accessible to readers online via a subscription code. The Monthly Zine then provides high quality printed subscription cards to homeless individuals absolutely free of charge. In turn, those individuals utilize the subscription codes when they panhandle, selling the cards to passers by for a one dollar suggested donation. This helps provide participating homeless citizens with dignity and a sense of purpose, both vital components towards re-integration into society. Additionally, this service allows them to raise survival money in a safe, honest manner.
